Donut Love is a charming donut shop located at 112 Lafayette Rd Unit C, North Hampton in New Hampshire. The shop is highly appreciated by donut lovers from the northeast region of the country for its potato donuts that are almost like cake with a dense and tasty texture. The brand uses fresh local ingredients to make all its donuts from scratch and offers a wide variety of flavors, including maple bacon, cold brew, and gluten-free cinnamon. The establishment is open six days a week, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and is closed on Mondays. The shop has on-site parking and is known to sell out of donuts quickly, usually by noon. Donut Love has a friendly staff and a clean and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal breakfast destination for family camping across the road as well as locals and visitors alike. The price level is moderate, making it a great deal for the large and filling donuts of exceptional quality.

Not the same. Sad to write this post as we previously LOVED this place. We live locally and visited DL every month. Since the change in ownership, we’ve visited 3x including today, hoping that the taste and consistency would replicate the previous donuts. However, I’m sad to report that they no longer have the “potato” consistency that separates them from other shops. They’ve also removed local favorites including Maple Bacon and Cold Brew. While the renovations are beautiful and the staff are sweet, unfortunately, the quality of the donuts have declined.

Stopped by picked up 1/2 dozen donuts they were good the best one out of the six was the maple frosted.
I called yesterday and asked if they still have vegan donuts and they don’t. This was very disappointing because I was having guests today and one of them has a severe dairy allergy. We still ended up getting a dozen donuts and two vegan muffins for our guests. The donuts were good but not worth $50. That’s insane. Donut love was always my family’s go-to for vegan baked goods because they so hard to find. The chocolate sea salt was terrible. Dry and way too much salt. Very disappointing.
Wow this was my all time FAVORITE donut place. I'd come from RI to grab some. I haven't been in about 5-6 monthes. Today was different. The donuts are not potato donuts and definitely not what they used to be. Not as flavorful. Just regular donuts now. I decided to look online and found out the business is under new management. Maybe the original owners took the recipe with them ? Not sure but my hearts breaks for this...It's a sad day.
I was so excited when it finally reopened. These donuts used to be my favorite. I would drive 45 min just for these potato donuts and had recommended them to everyone I knew. I would send them as gifts and thank yous. Well unfortunately after reopening and visiting 3 times, I won't be back. The new owners changed the recipe. They are not even close to being the same. They were dry. So dry they were worse than dunkin donuts. The texture is so bad it doesn't matter that they offer the fancy flavors. I can't wrap my head around WHY they thought to change the recipe. The potato donuts is why they were so popular to begin with. You can see in the pictures how dry the donut is. I suspect they are deleting the negative comments on their Facebook page. If they want a successful donut shop they need to go back to the original recipe.
We’re in NH visiting family for my birthday and picked up a half dozen this morning to share with family and were sadly disappointed.
Moved to CT several years ago but use to love these donuts so of course I wanted to grab some.
Donuts were dry, very dry and the flavors were lacking, as in, you couldn’t taste them at all. Like, maybe blueberries were in the room when they made the blueberry donuts but that’s about as close at they got.
We were the only people when we walked in with 3 people working but no one greeted us. So like the flavor and moisture, hospitality was also non-existent.
After reading a few reviews I was hesitant to go as we are not huge donut fans. But we are not from the north east and wanted to give potato donuts a try.
Honest review - these are really good. They are almost like cake - so they are a little bit dense but gosh it’s pretty tasty. They are not some weak fluffy donut you would get at dunkin. You get a substantial donut, and a tasty one at that. I got a maple and my wife got a gluten free cinnamon both were delicious. They place is clean and the people were kind. All negative reviews were debunked. Last note I will leave- the price was last concern. I got 3 total donuts only and it was a hair over 10 bucks. I guess that’s a bit more than norm but to be honest it’s worth it- you get some pretty large filling donuts. I give it a thumbs up.
I have been eagerly awaiting the reopening, under new management, of Donut Love. I love their donuts. I know their former Exeter bakery is still under construction, but their North Hampton store is open and selling donuts made someplace. I …
